Life has changed in many ways and I figured I would get back into blogging so for my first new post let me share with you the Influenster box for the month of May, The Blossom Box.

I received the box about a couple weeks ago and between finals and new baby I'm finally really getting to sit down and review it.

here is an overview picture of the box contents,

you also receive a card telling you what each item is and the value of each item, a couple coupons.

So Lets talk about each item:
The Beanitos are black bean chips I got the flavors original with sea salt and chiptole BBQ I am not a huge fan of beans but I thought these were quite good and would be great with salsa. on the card they give you the value of each item they say these are $3.49.
One of the other food items you receive is a couple packages of Bear Naked Granola, i tried this snack by its self and it was pretty good but i think it would be great on some yogurt, i received the samples of sea salt  caramel apple which i tried it had chunks of caramel and dried apples super yummy, the other flavor was coconut almond curry it says its has coconuts,almonds and cashews i don't like coconut so i will be passing this on to my mother, according to the card it is $10.49 for a 12oz bag im not sure i would pay that much for this but if i ate yogurt more i probably would.
Next  we have Clairol Hair Food i haven't used this yet and im very picky with my hair products as most things kill my scalp and i pay for it for a week, but none the less this smells amazing it is infused with strawberry and ginger im going to try this out this week according to the label it is silicone and paraben and mineral oil free. the value to this bottle is $9.99 for a 12oz bottle.
Nasoya Pasta Zero Noodles these arrived in a bubble mailer to help transport which i was grateful for because they are fresh noodles in water they are gluten free and organic i think they are a Japanese type noodle from what i can tell but made in the usa i am planning on trying these for lunch this week. to me it looks like plenty of pasta for maybe 2 people and i think quite a good price at $2.29 

Next is NYC Color City 24hr eye shadow, you could either get tribeca taupe or Brooklyn mocha i received Brooklyn mocha i tested it out on my skin and the color looked nice i don't wear makeup too often but would give this a try as it goes on smooth and you don't need a brush to apply here it is swatches out on my hand(bottom color)i love that it is a neutral tone and super shimmery, they price this at $2.99 which im sure is how much it is at most retailers as NYC is a decent brand for a good price

while i have this picture above ill go ahead and talk about the Sally Hansen airbrush legs i have the shade light as you can see im super pale i feel like this doesn't look to orange on me which i know most lotion tans tend to do, they give you a sample size but say that the normal bottle size runs you about $13.99

Lastly you get a sample of Australian Gold sunscreen, this is in 30spf which to me is good for something quick but i burn super easy and usually need a higher one, i love the smell of sunscreen i mean who doesn't makes you think summer and beaches but this one smells like coconut it gives you a water resistant of about 80 mins so im assuming that's letting you know you need to reapply then but why you wouldn't do that anyway is beyond me lol on the cord according to this an 8oz size will cost you about $7.99



so lets sum this up, influenster is a free website you review things and take surveys and sometimes can be chosen for different boxes they send you different size products to try out and give your opinion about,  at first when going through the box i thought they didn't give me an item but i realized i read the card wrong you could receive either the Australian gold sunscreen or equitance which cost a lot more then Australian gold so i feel that is the better one. i liked everything in the box the noodles being fresh and prepackaged isn't something i normally would eat but im willing to give them a try. overall i would love to do another box and see what else there is to offer.

Bentos and Other things =)

The reason i haven't had more bento postings lately is because Monday and Tuesday i didn't need to take a lunch with me lol i slept in late Monday and didn't go anywhere, of course i slept in until time to go to school Tuesday so i didn't have lunch anyway so wed lunch is basically Monday of last weeks lunch which is completely fine because that chicken was soooo yummy =). but more to come next week going to try some different things maybe do little sandwiches haven't decided, but on another note yesterday was the best day ever i have had this feeling of wanting to teach an art journaling class for the longest time Ive been so inspired and its hard to talk about it to others and they have no idea what I'm talking about it soo i talked to my pastor if i could use the church building once a week or every other week one night and teach and art journaling class and yesterday when i asked him and showed him what i was talking about it he said i totally could but of course keep in mind where I'm at which is so easy to do! well now I'm super excited! project art journaling 101 is now going full speed ahead!

Project Bento Day 2+3

I am combining day two and three for one big reason because what i had for lunch on Tuesday was the same as today felt quite lazy on Tuesday and today ugh for early mornings lol.
the red bento is mine since mom has laid claim to the blue one haha but this is what it looks like all packaged up in case you were wondering.

on the menu was a crab carrot and cucumber and romaine lettuce salad and in the little bird sauce bottle of balsamic vinaigrette its really good after its been sitting in the fridge for a day. i used intimation crab because its cheaper and i like the taste of it this was the bottom tier

on the top tier as you can see was filled with nothing but fruit i was feeling the need to eat a lot of fruit these days so it has apples and oranges and grapes the only difference between Tuesday and wed is today i stuck a half of a little heart cake mom got me for vday in it i needed something sweet! but onto the next day trying to figure out what we are having next week and possibly Friday if i have to go early in the morning im thinking left over shrimp and rice lol

First Day Project Bento!

Today marks the first day me and mom are trying out bentos for our lunch and lets just say it was pretty epic!! i am so full who knew small portions could fill you up i think this is going to work great towards my weight loss more veggies less fats and Ive promised myself I'm going to do my wii fit an hour each day starting today! I'm sure you would love to see what we had on the menu for today since it was our first day we went really simple. simple yet oh so yummy.

On the first tier we had Chicken Kara-age i think is the name of it lol, and rice and yummy savory cheese muffins.

on the bottom tier we had cucumbers shaped like flowers and some balsamic vinaigrette and some grapes for dessert.

the portions look small but it was so yummy i packed some extra chicken and rice because well its our first time doing this i wasn't sure how much it fill us up lets just say we had some leftovers =) cant wait for tomorrow I'm thinking shrimp are on the menu!

Im going in a new direction!

I am terrible at keeping a blog but I'm really going to try to, I'm going in a new direction i think I'm going to go from just art journaling to adding in food too and to start here's my haul =)
i was introduced to bentos from a friend and i wanted to order stuff sooo bad but shipping from japan is crazy so after months and months of looking i finally found a website that ships form Cali and i got my package today I'm so excited!!!!

Today

I did the most epic Christmas shopping ever today i went to Michael's and bought the Martha Stewart score board and got it for 10. i then went to Joann's and got two Christmas gifts plus two 180 sheet scrap booking 12x12 paper each for 10 then i finally got my little spatula thing for my cricut i got glossy accents to try it out for the first time. then i went to hobby lobby and got a cricut cartridge the just because cards and then i got a very cool rolling storage for the cricut 100 dollars got it 50% off same with the cartridge i was like yesss awesome shopping!!!! now to go finish up some hw i have a busy week this week got to get gifts ready then more Christmas shopping tomorrow then card making party at school wed then hunters bday party on sat then the Christmas party I'm hosting on Friday gosh busy week!!!!! I'm excited lots of work to do!

*sigh* Holidays

This will be the first Christmas without my Mema and I'm not ready for it i wish i could just skip over this holiday season. but on another note this week is my last week of school for Christmas break and I'm ready for a break but it wont be a normal break this year ill have my cousin hunter with me for 2 weeks  of Christmas break =D should be fun and interesting all at the same time haha. I'm also starting my graduation announcements over break because the fact i go to a private school we dont't have people who do things like that for us vs if you went to a public school so if you want fun graduation type stuff you have to do it for yourself! which I'm completely fine with and like true Emily fashion as a few friends would call it I'm making hello kitty themed announcements i have this cool cricut cartridge that has her in a cap and gown and so I'm doing hello kitty and a cherry blossom tree behind her it will be really cool i cant wait! speaking on graduation i honestly kind of don't want to walk my Mema wont be there and it makes it less appealing i know ill probably feel different by May but it just wont be the same without her being there. *sighs*
